The
Mission of St. John Fisher Seminary Residence |
 Pope
John Paul II once said “it is Jesus who stirs in
you the desire to do something great with your lives.” Certainly,
a vocation to the Roman Catholic priesthood is one of those
great things of the Lord. Expanding on this idea Pope Benedict
XVI explains that a seminary is “more than a place,
it is a significant time in the life of a follower of Jesus.” It
is a time “above all of discovering Christ.” St.
John Fisher Seminary exists to provide young men with that
time along with a way of discovering Christ, and if He
is calling them to his priesthood. Through prayerful and
rigorous
training, they deepen their baptismal call to be disciples
of Jesus and faithful Catholic men in the midst of culture
in need of the Lord’s presence. |
